Last Sunday, Clint, Ethan, Laurel, and I went on a joint vacation with my Mom and Dad and my brother John and his wife Herlinda as well as their children Josh and Miranda. We went to Sea World for two days and then spent the rest of the week playing in the water on the Frio River in Concan, Texas. It was a great trip, though hot and humid at Sea World. Ethan enjoyed being in the water more than he ever has in the past. He especially liked using his new orange goggles. Of course we had to buy Laurel some goggles too--pink ones per her request. Both kids got to ride a roller coaster for the first time -- and loved it. It was their first time to see Killer Whales too! They also loved feeding the dolphins and looking at all the Mexican Fruit Bats as they exited their cave. They did not enjoy the trek Clint and I took them on one morning down a gravel road near our cabin. And then again, there were only red ants, cactus, and rocks to look at, so how can I blame them for not getting excited about that. This morning Ethan asked if we could go to Sea World again today. To live with a mindset of no limitations--ahh!! He also asked if the tank we passed in Elm Mott was the Frio River. Now that is funny!
