The Mass Exodus

These are not birds; it's not downtown Waco, and these are not grackles and cowbirds. No, this is a pic of the mass exodus of Mexican Fruit bats that occurs at sunset each evening. They kept coming, and we finally left when it started getting dark. It apparently takes 2 hours for them all to leave the cave. Red-tailed hawks like to cull a few for their supper as well.
