A Ladies' Retreat

A couple of weeks ago, I was able to go to a Ladies' Retreat on Thetis Island. It was held at the Torchbearers' Bible School Campus of Capernwray. It was pretty easy for me to get there since Thetis is right off of Vancouver Island. Many of the ladies came from the mainland and had to take 2 ferries. Some drove a long time before even getting to a ferry. I had a 1 1/2 hour drive up the island and a short ferry trip over. The speaker for the retreat was Bonnie Thomas, who, for those of you acquainted with Ian Thomas, is his daughter-in-law. It was very good. I got a chance to visit with some really neat ladies and get some "spend-alone" time too. As most of you know, our transition to Victoria has been tough for me and I was refreshed by hearing truth. I hope to share the MP3 I purchased at the retreat with other ladies both here and in Waco. Here are some shots of the Capernway campus, the beachlife, and the ferry arriving.
